From age 4, Indian-born Anju has been a stage dancer. She also choreographed various shows for her school. Other than dancing she also acted in Marathi theater, worked as orchestra singer and also have organised her own painting exhibition.
15 years ago Anju arrived to New Zealand. She is keen to share her extensive knowledge and the joy of Bollywood/ Indian culture by providing customized events for special occasions. Anju’s versatility and her gift for making everyone feel relaxed during her parties has helped her gain the confidence of her clients. Which clearly demonstrated by the outstanding feedback she receives.
She also received enthusiastic comments in an editorial in the NZ Herald, an article in New Zealand Geographic in January 2014. Anju was interviewed for the TV1 Neighbourhood program in March 2015, a TVNZ Fair Go commercial, Maori TV showcase, Pukana show, Te Reo channel and presented many more shows
Anju deeply appreciates New Zealand’s multi-cultural society. Of it, she says: “The opportunity to present an authentic aspect of the Indian culture to Kiwis has been my greatest privilege. I am humbly thankful to my family, friends and the most wonderful people on the earth, the ‘Kiwi’s”.
Anchal Varma - Assistant Event Organiser
Anchal recently joined Bollywood party as assistant event organiser. She has worked for KLM Air France in Customer Service for 2 years and has also worked with Malaysia Airlines in similar role for 2 years. She likes to travel and meet new people from different cultures. The reason she joined Bollywood Party so she can bring her own Indian culture to the world. With her extensive experience working with different culture will allow her to understand individual’s needs. She wants to bring and utilise her cultural knowledge and customer service experience to Bollywood Party
Adhika was trained in the art of Bharatha Natyam from the age of 4 in Durban, South Africa. Adhika has taught and trained children and adults of all ages. She is always passionate and eager to share her knowledge of dance as she believes that the arts bring physical, mental and spiritual joy. Her teaching style is both disciplined and enjoyable.
Dancer of the year 2015 - Sharon Choy is a very versatile person. From the past 3 years, her talent and understating have made Bollywood Party in NZ very proud. She has also known to be a kid’s favourite dance teacher and very proud mother of Jada Choy. Her commitment towards Bollywood party has been highly appreciated.
Bharati have good knowledge of Indian food and cooking experience on large scale. Bollywood party always present authentic, holistic food and Bharati have a good understanding of those requirements. We are looking forward to present real authentic Indian food to New Zealander's with Bharati’s extensive help. Bharati have very kind and welcoming nature. She is also a winner of ' Vilas Desai Kindness Award - 2015.
